how to create a course

Here’s how to create a course that’ll sell like hotcakes

You are probably a consultant, coach, trainer, teacher or another experienced person in any particular domain who wishes to share his or her knowledge with the right audience and also wish to create a source of income for yourself & this blog post should help you understand all the things clearly…

In this blog post, we will take a look at the types of requirements and the actions to be taken before designing and developing a course that will benefit its audience.

A course is easy to make nowadays, but to make it timeless and valuable in years to come requires a lot of work behind the scenes.

It is very likely that you have already taken a course online in the last two years, since the Covid has enabled anyone to learn just about anything they want.

Let’s discuss creating a course instead of taking one!

The creation, design, and planning of the course will include the use of many tools and platforms to make it more efficient and effective.

The process of designing the course structure –

In order to design the course effectively, we must perform accurate research on the topics the audience actually wants to listen to and learn. The course must be designed with timeless, relevant content that will be valuable for many years to come.

How to design a course structure that is suitable for your target audience:
– Observe what kinds of problems your audience faces.
– You should also observe what is their desired outcome.
– How you want to assist them with your course.
– Have a direct conversation with your target persona.
– Check out Quara and similar sites to see what sort of questions your target audience is asking.
– Draft an outline of the course and add your own experience and expertise to the content.
-Convert raw content into slides, infographics, and presentations.

This type of suffix can be used to name your course
There are many names you can use as a suffix: Masterclass, Method, Blueprint, System, Code, Mastery, Mastery, School, Acceleration, Mastermind, Mentoring, Machine, Playbook, Challenge, Workshop, Secrets, Formula

Once you have the clear plan in place, along with the clear audience for whom the course was built, the next step is to divide the content into short lessons and record it in high quality.

I highly recommend that you keep your lessons under 30-45 minutes each.

Which tools and requirements will be needed here-

In order to make a high quality video, you will need a good camera and a noise-free microphone.

Specifically, presentation tools like Canva, Powerpoint will be required. As with video editing, you will need video editing tools, and we highly recommend you choose a professional video editor that can manage the quality.

After you have all the video lessons you need, you need a platform where students can access the course information, which is called an LMS-Learning Management System.

These are examples of LMS and Course hosting tools:
Teachable
New Zenler
Kajabi
App : Classplus

With all your lessons bundled your course is now ready for takeoff.

Things really get started now and the most important steps are being taken.
In the near future, we will write an in-depth blog post on how to sell course, but we will cover a few points here in the meantime.

It’s time to build your landing page for your course when you get your learning management system ready.
This is where people from your content, your social media accounts, and paid ads will land and get all the information they need.

On the landing page, there will be all the information you need such as the video, course content, mentor information, a Call to Action, payment links, testimonials, and benefits of participating course, bonuses and all.

Here, we will be using tools such as landing page builders, payment gateways, and email marketing systems.

The following landing page builders are available for your course: Elementors, Insta Pages, Unbounce, Swipepages.
Payment Gateways: Razorpay, Instamojo

Think of it this way: A person who wants to purchase your course found your landing page by interacting with your paid ads or content. He registers for your course by paying using the link provided on your landing page at 12:00 AM.

Is it possible to provide him with access to the course within 5 minutes?

In order to automate our task, we will use some of the most effective marketing automation tools that connect our payment gateway directly to the LMS, so that participants and customers will be registered directly in the system once they pay via the payment gateway.

The following tools may be used to automate this process on a basic level:
Zapier
Integrately
Pabbly Connect
This was only a basic introduction to the tools and the steps required to create an online course, and in the next blog post, we will talk about how to sell, marketing requirements and personal branding.
